New Effects: Becan5 & Vegelicious3: Any Thoughts?
I have just heard that two new effects suites are in the works: Becan5, and Vegelicious3. Supposedly the best effects of Becan5 include BecanVerb, a room that sounds like cooking becan, including Aromatrans, that somehow creates room tone by converting the smell of cooking becan to audio. Becan5 also includes a Sizzleator, that somehow turns miserable takes into something like hot sizzling becan. Rumor has it that the release date has been delayed, as Beagle keeps eating all the product, thinking it is real becan (bad dog!). The Vegelicious3 doesn't appear to be doing as well. The main effect is something called Tofued, that is supposed to be some sort of harmonic enhancer or gentlizer - relaxation and all. It appears that so far it makes everything sound like someone who is eating uncooked, raw tofu. It appears that no one has been willing to try Vegelicious3 yet. Any thoughts on these new suites?

I tried Veggie3. It's OK, but it's not as satisfying as Becan5.

Tofu enhancer/gentlizer? Seems to line up w/ those reports about soy supposedly having feminizing effects on males... ;) Me, I dig some tofu a few times a week. Even raw, in salad. No moobs yet. And I don't eat much meat - no pork, no bacon. You should have seen the look on the waitress face at Applebees yesterday when I asked if I could get the burger WITHOUT the bacon... ;) So I could beta test that thing.

Yeah, I like various types of stir fry, and that can sometimes include tofu...

I actually do like a fair amount of veggie stuff--including tofu. I'm not a big fan about veggie stuff masquerading as meat. I'm not boycotting faux meat, it's just not my first choice.

Faux-meat apparently isn't all that great. From what I've read, it is to tofu what processed meat/deli is to meat. Personally, I prefer to eat it as is or to mix it w/ meat. But I sometime indulge and use faux meat for recipes when I'm in a hurry.

That sounds like a good strategy.

If I live to be 100 I will go on TV and say "See? You DO NOT need vegetables".

I may do that even if I don't live. It may not make for great TV, but I think the message will still be heard.

I nearly forgot... The MOST anticipated effect of Vegelicious3: Compostr. It promises to "enable you to instantly create rich organic mixes". The problem so far is that there is a bug of some sort that causes the program to sound like buzzing flies.
