Major File path problem...!!!
Hey guys. I created a new project, recorded some bits, saved, everything fine, opened, everything fine, saved, everything fine... went to save as... then it tells me the file path for the audio isn't a correct audio path (it is, and it's same as was already using) just so i could save my project, I ended up saving under a different path, it let me save, I then proceed to save as, now it's telling me the original project path isn't a correct path (it is) The only problem I can imagine is that the file path had a special character in it. But it worked fine, then didn't??

The file path includes this in it "(♏)" but in sonar when saving this shows up as "(?)"

I just exited, went back in, Save As... Worked fine, no problems. Any idea what's going on here? As that's quite a nuisance. And could prove quite a problem at some point I imagine.

The ASCII code for the ♏ character is 63, which is also the code for a question mark. Which one will be displayed depends on the character set. That's why you may see it displayed differently by different applications. A question mark is definitely an illegal character in Windows pathnames (it's used as a single-character wildcard in DOS), although a program might not check and create a file or directory with an illegal character in it. Some even use it intentionally, so as to create a path that can't be typed in, for security reasons.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

so he accidentally typed a ? or did Sonar put it there? I use "save as" a lot. I use it in a few different ways too. I often use it to make a back up on a second drive. I don't change the name, just the location, you have to make sure and tick the "copy audio" I will also use it and change the name to save an alternate version of a project. Never had it go weird like that.

Cactus Music so he accidentally typed a ? or did Sonar put it there? Sonar put it there... It's odd now, it continues to open/save fine... no idea what's going on. Still feel a bit skeptical about keeping that special character in the file name now though. It was only in the folder name.
