Another "portfolio" piece I did tonight, this time in the style of Marcus Miller.

Cheers!

    Hey,

Very cool, I really love the sound of that bass!  Short and sweet though at 25 seconds, is there more that you're planning to add to this?  If there is, I can't wait to hear the finished product!

Nice sound, have a good one!

It sounds like the theme to Seinfeld on a good beer buzz.  I do hope that there's more to this than meets the eye.

    All the best,

Thanks for listening, and commenting, I do appreciate it. As with alot of my writing, I throw something together on a whim with the pretense of expanding my commercial portfolio, which is a necessity, but sometimes a little gem of an idea takes on it's own life. When this came out I immediately knew I had unfinished business :-)

While I really like "Chuckles" for the purpose it was written, I'm quite happy to leave it as it stands as a short "demo".

Anyways, the best way to show my appreciation is to reciprocate and take the time to listen.

Bob, you have some really rockin' tunes on your site! I can see you approach your music with admirable conviction. After I spend a bit more time there I'll have some more specifics but I want to digest a bit more first. There's not much to add really, nice guitar work and vocals, good production, it's a complete package. Kudos and congrats on the debut release! All the best to you.

Lynn, checked a few as well, "End of Time" was the first to really catch my attention. Needs real horns (!) but that vocal just makes the tune. Great voice. I'm envious.

Digi2ns, I checked out your Soundcloud page as well. I really liked "Back For More" and it wasn't even the Ratt version I expected ;-p

Whoever did the vocals has a beautiful voice. The acoustic guitars really shine, the recording and mixing suit well, nice job. In fact, the only thing in my mind that keeps this from being a top-notch piece of work is the lack of dynamics between sections...I think you could structure more differential between sections to create greater contrast, more obvious "tension vs release" if you know what I mean.

Thanks again, hopefully I'll start running into everyone else here a little more frequently.

It skipped on my turntable.  Oh, that wasn't skipping and it's not an album, what was it or was it just me?   Your pieces are very short.  Just samples, huh?

Very cool.  You got a great sound and a great command of the instrument.  Nicely recorded too.  I like the brightness of the bass - it really sparkles.
