Please consider fixing up MCU Pro support in an X2 patch
I've a Mack MCU Pro and while it certainly works with Sonar X1, the support leaves a bit to be desired. There are three major things I'd like to see fixed/improved:
1) When I start Sonar it notices the MCU and sets it up, but doesn't accept input from it. I have to open the property page to wake it up, then it starts listening to the MCU's input.
2) The vpot assignment doesn't work properly with Prochannel. It just goes to the first plugin in the list, and even then doesn't do that great a job with parameters. It would be nice to get it so that you can either cycle through Prochannel items, or so that the buttons go to that specific plugin (ie EQ to EQ) no matter where it is.
3) The dB markings on the faders don't match up to where it moves the faders to. I suspect this is because Sonar is +6dB max and the MCU is +10dB max and it is simply moving them to the relative position. This means that unity isn't unity though and is annoying. So either modify Sonar to allow you to change the fader range to +10dB, or change the behaviour so that it correctly sets the faders on the MCU (maybe just have it move them back down if you push them over +6dB).
I realize you have your own VS-700C control surface but in addition to it being far more expensive, it is just too big for me to fit in my space. So some better MCU support would be great. I imagine more than a few of your users have them, they are pretty popular control surfaces after all.
