Gangsta in my 'hood ....

I had an encounter today at KFC. I went there to get a light lunch and there was a semi-drunk street hustler being boisterous with the help. He said he was waiting for his ride...He was really being obnoxious so I hurried up and ate my meal. He went outside and was smoking cigarette butts. He came back in and sat down, I decided to leave. I bolted out the door jumped in my truck and locked the doors. He followed me out, and was yelling something as I drove away. I just wanted to get as far away from him as I could as fast as I could...he was nothing but trouble...I was glad I was able to get away from him....He looked like a street gangsta, and I wanted nothing to do with him. I really hate to see this in my usually safe neighborhood.

What would you do if a gangsta type guy followed you out of a restaurant ??

Was he saying you left your wallet on the table?

I was working the food line at our church's homeless shelter and my (then) wife says to me "can you deal with those hoodlums over there, they scare me". I went over to talk to them (they were eating their meal).

Turns out they were the nicest guys there that night. Totally appreciative. A couple were musicians and we had a great conversation about music.

Unless I see attempted physical harm or weapons I tend to not "avoid" people. That's just me.

No I made sure I had my wallet. He either wanted cash or a ride....you know, just a few bucks...I was lucky to get away from him....he was NOT a friendly panhandler....

Yep it's getting nasty out there. Usually the street thugs, hustlers and panhandlers stay in the downton area, this is something new for our quiet suburb.

I have zero tolerance for street drunks, thugs, gangsters and all round crazies. Where I live in Manhattan there is a bunch of aging layabouts who have stood on the same corner and gotten drunk every single day for the 7 years I've lived here. All they do is bicker, yell, shriek, and sometimes fight. It's a good job my windows have good sound insulation. Every time I open one I hear ".....itch ass motherf**ker you ain't go damn right to...." and "...on of a **** I'm gonna f*** you up you piece of sh..."

I have some of the fights on video. Admittedly, they're hilarious.

Are you kidding? They have no substance to their lives. No ambition. And each day is full of conflict. I could never envy a drunk. They're such sad specimens!

If they were happy, they wouldn't drink and fight all day.
