multi track out for ez drummer

I can't seem to figure out how to get ez drummer to expand into 8 separate tracks. I have looked through the forum and you tube and cannot find anything. can someone explain this or point me to a tutorial on it. thanks bhooks

The easiest approach is to insert it with multiple outputs.
DO NOT insert EZ Drummer as a Simple Instrument Track. Insert with the following selections:
    MIDI Source Track
All Synth Audio Outputs-Stereo(this gives you the eight outputs).
Synth Properties Page (this is the EZD GUI, and you will need to see it to set your drums to the individual outputs).
Once EZD has completed loading, click the OPEN MIXER button.
Click on any of the Outputs, then click Multichannel. This will route the drum outputs to a default set.

You can also direct a given drum to a particular output using the mixer.
Be aware that this mimics mics on an acoustic set, and the drums are not totally isolated from each other, so you may see some bleed.
If you set it up right from the git-go, it's easy.
If you try to expand it out from the wrong insert selections, you have a bit of a battle on your hands.

I don't have EZD, but if it's like other soft synths, those are the synth output tracks. You don't record into them; you record into the MIDI track that is output to them.
Maybe RobertB will be along later to confirm.

Greg is correct. Those are synth output tracks, and cannot be armed.
The only track that can be armed for record is the MIDI source track.
Can you describe your setup, and how you are recording?

There is another way, altho its very manually intensive; but I found I got excellent results and had better EQ control over the drums.

I dont use multi-track drums, I insert a single soft-synth that has the entire kit.

then I clone that EZ drummer output eight times, and in each one, go into the EZ Drummer kit picture and turn OFF every drum except one.

thus I have each drum on its own track, no bleed from the other drums.

It takes awhile to do, however, I have a template already set up to do it for new stuff.

Hi, I am coming into this really later. I inserted this the way Robert B said. It has 8 channels. Now if I wanted to record a drum track I understand that I would have to arm a midi track and record. How would I go about adding reverb to the snare or toms later? Is there a way to add certain effects to say the toms and a different effest to the snare and a different effect to the bass drum? Not that I want to but I would like to reverb my snare and toms without adding reverb to the bass drum and cymbals. Or maybe I might want to add a delay to the bass drum and nothing to the snare.
