My latest - "Mercy Game". Feeback very welcomed!!

Here's my newest song I've finished, called "Mercy Game". It's a blues rocker that I think has  nice feel to it. I did all the instruments and vocals. I actually wrote this and played it for years in my live acoustic set (which includes a lot of live looping) and I just thought it would be fun to rock up a bit in the studio. The song kind of takes a 180 degree turn at the end, but that's how I do it live. I often transition to a random instrumental, depending on how I'm feeling that particular night. FYI - I used my Variax and Overloud TH2 plugin for all guitars, if that helps you form an opinion of that plugin. I love it! Thank you, of course for any feedback, opinions and suggestions. I'm always trying to get better. I do have a full time job, so this is just a hobby. So I need all the help I can get! Thank you.

    Hey Harlon!!!

Really like it. I think the mix sounded good here all the way around.

    Harmonies were awsome.

The change up is kinda neat

Very nice Harlon. I also like the change up - I can imagine that it goes down well live.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the positive comments!! Did the bass and low end sound about right to y'all? I have another mix where I brought the the bass up a bit. It makes the bass definition cut through a bit better, but the trade off is that it tends to swallow up other tracks a bit.

This is a really nice song that goes beyond blues-rock.  The chord changes are terrific, and the arrangement is very good.  Your vocal and guitar performances are stellar.  I like the sound of the new TH2 plugin, and I'm working on a song now that features this plug.  I hope this song hangs around for a while because I know I'll be listening to it again.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Thanks, Lynn. That was my first time using my new Sterling Audio ST-77 mic, and I really dig it. I think it suits my voice well - haven't tried it on any other singers yet. And please share your new song you mentioned when you're finished!
