Cannot make SONAR LE work properly

So... I bought a Roland Juno-Gi synthesizer and got the Sonar LE. Installed it on my laptop and tried using it, but I just couldn't figure out how.
I'm currently using a USB-cable to connect the Juno-Gi to the laptop because some YouTube video said it wasn't nessecary with a MIDI-cable.
Sonar LE doesn't recognise any input, and I don't have access to everything the program should offer as well.

What am I doing wrong??

    Welcome to the forum.
Which version of SONAR LE are you using? SONAR 7 LE, 8 LE, X1 LE?
What is your operating system and is it 32-bit or 64-bit?
What sound card or audio interface are you using?
The Wave Profiler should have run the first time you opened SONAR. Did it?
Was the keyboard plugged in and on when (if) the Wave Profiler ran?

    Go here http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=1126
and get the latest USB driver for your operating system.
I also recommend downloading the instrument definition from the same place.

I see that the Juno-Gi is an audio interface, too. That's handy.
Once we get some more information from you we can try to help you get set up.

Well, I must say that I'm terrible with technical things...

The latest USB driver was allready installed.

Should I still answer those previous questions?

Well, which version of LE you have will let us know what to tell you to look for and where to look for it.
Whether it is 32-bit or 64-bit could affect the performance of the program and/or audio interface.
If the operating system is Windows 98, that could be a problem. If it's Windows 7, there may be additional steps to getting it set up.
And we're sure to have more questions.

I was terrible with technical things when I started with Cakewalk back in 2002. I had just bought my first computer, too, so I was learning how to use the computer and Cakewalk at the same time.
It's not hard. If I can do it, anyone can.
