"His Fame" - New to Forum but Using Cakewalk For Years

Hello,

I have been using Cakewalk for about 13 years and have found it to be great.  About two years ago, I put up the songs I had written or co-written up up on a few web sites so my friends and others could hear what I was doing.  Since then, a few of the guys joined me to be a real band and do a few shows from time to time.

This is the first time I post on this forum and I look forward to any feedback.

Thanks.
Ferni D

This song is called "His Fame."

I enjoyed this a bunch!  Really sounded good in all aspects.  Sittin' in a country lounge and seein' those cowgirls in their boots doin some steppin, well your tune makes me want to do that!!  That's high praise cause I don't like gettin' up.  Ha!!  Is this all live players?

Warren,  thanks for the kind discriptive words.  This was recorded with the drums and the picking guitar live; then later the bass player came in and did his part; and then later the other guitar player did the more crunchy rhtym part.  The guitar player who played the picking part alo played a resonator with the slide.  The vocals came in last.  The rhythm guitar guy also did some of the solos; they both alternated.  But it sounds pretty live and like it was done at the same time to me...  Glad you enjoyed it.  There is  even cooler version on our My Space band page that has a resonator intro, and a blues jam at the end - worth checking out.  Don't have the link for that one with me right now....

Good stuff Ferni D - great harmonies and a nice live feel that can easily be 'produced' out of a song.
I like the band name too

Thanks everybody for the encouraging words. I just joined this forum, but believe me when I tell you that I have been reading it for ideas for years. Thanks! This is the link for the full length version of "His Fame" which has a resonator intro and a slow 6/8 blues jam at the end. http://www.myspace.com/ba...ongs/his-fame-66921538
