I don't think it's going to happen tonight.  *sigh*  Maybe tomorrow...
I'm on the west coast so I'll stay up til about 1:00 pacific time, but then I'm calling it a night.

I essentially south of you Leee (40 miles west of Los Angeles).

Prolly will not stay up as late as you.

In another thread I called it for Friday (which has been typical for CW since the download method was employed) but earlier tonight I told my mate Daryl1968 it would be tonight. I said "Mark my words".

I had to text him and admit I was wrong (so far).

Well this certainly turned out to be a miserable day.  My car overheated, I had a fight with my wife, and the only thing pulling me through was the thought of downloading X2 tonight.  And even that turned out to be a bust.   Maybe I'll go buy a Native Instrument plugin to cheer myself up.

I hear the giant upright is awesome.

Since I own Komplete 8 Ultimate I waiting on Komplete 9 to see if I can get it plus some other newbie libraries/plugs for the (today) price of the giant.

I already bought The Giant last week, and it IS awesome.  It's one of the best sounding virtual pianos I have.  Very crisp and vibrant.
Toontrack just came out with a new plugin for their EZPiano program.  It's the same type of upright piano.  Got that one too.

I did not get the ToonTrack one (yet). I may. I have EZKeys and I did get the Gospel pack. Do you have NI's other upright? If so, how does TT's Upright compare to NI's Upright (not The Giant)?

Admittedly I'm not as hot on pianos as I am on drums. Jeez, I have too many drums. Wait did I just say that? Click on the Me in my sig  (then select Studio) and you be the judge. LOL!

    Ha, Ha, ha, YOU FOOLS!!!

They are going to release X2 as soon as you fall asleep and I shall download it from the other side of the world and wil have mastered it by the time you wake up in the morning. You poor, misfortunate, bastards....

Hang on, I just thought of a terrible contigency. Everyone who really wants X2 will download on the pre-pay plan and so there will be server strife. All the guys who wait until the official release (1 day later if the watercooler chat is accurate) will download easily without stress. I predict more people to download on the day b4 official release than the day of release. I may just wait.

I think you probably win the "I have more than you" contest, but I'm actually not that too far behind you.  I'll have to write a list of all my stuff and we can compare.

I haven't played that much with the EZKeys upright, but if I had to say just off the top of my head, I think The Giant has better samples.
But the one think I like about EZkeys is the patterns and the intelligent design of chord circle.  I'm not much on music theory (I studied it many decades ago and have forgotten much) but the chord wheel on EZKeys lets you change chords and patterns and suggests the best choices for you.  But I'm sure you already know all of that.   I'd say the EZkeys upright is close in sound quality to The Giant, and EZkeys has the chord patterns but The Giant has more efx and controls, which allows you to really get in there and adjust everything from the hammer and pedal sounds to tweaking it's EQ, Compression, Reverb, and all that other good stuff.

Both are definitely better than the NI Akoustik Piano (Upright Piano) that came out in 2009.

I wasn't trying to brag, just pointing out that for a bass player I prolly have way too many drums. I could conceivably never use them all unless I became the most in demand producer in T.O., California.

Sorry, that's one of the few pianos I don't have.  I was going to buy it right before I saw The Giant (actually the same day it came out).  Besides I didn't really care for the pink UI.

In another fred some one said it would be 10:00AM EST. I'll prolly be the 756th person to download it then.
