What don't I need with X2 installation process?

Are the "Loops And One Shots" new content? Is the additional X2 content needed if I'm not going to run the demo? I already have Dim Pro and Rapture full versions running, do I need to do anything about them?

nah they are shared plugs, so just use your existing installs no doubt.

not sure about the loops, if they are the ones already got from before.

I'm just getting the main sonar thing, and rest later at 12 tonight (set it to to schedule on FDM)

Loops and Shots are essential to stability on a Win 8 system I believe.

I know this because my cat told me.

(Sorry, I am excited as anybody else with the X2 DL and really have nothing better to do with my time than troll until my DL and install is done)

Hi markyzno, I appreciate your humor but I keep checking my post to see if I have a serious answer to my question. If you don't mind please refrain from responding in this post until I have received an answer to my question. Thank you sir.

From what I see so far if you have Dim Pro and Rapture then no need. Looks to be the same thing.

bump for a definitive answer. I think I will be ignoring parts 3, 4 and 5 at this point until Cake lets us know. Does READ THIS FIRST.EXE give any info?

dont know why humour isnt appreciated... nothing else to do while downloading....

@perfect: the vid shows the beatscape content has been retagged.. so while the wav vontent may be the same, the filenames seem altered to make searchable.

@blade: agreed,, no need to add dp1.5 ..or anything you dont wat.

dont know why humour isnt appreciated... nothing else to do while downloading.... It isn't that humour isn't appreciated, it's that he specifically said what he's doing & why it's just wasting his time. What part of that did you miss? I agree with him. He wants to get this done, and keeps checking in for what turns out to be nothing more than 'smart ass answers' that are doing him absolutely no good whatsoever. And you have nothing else to do while downloading? Really? Wow!!

It would great to get a definitive answer to whether Loops and One Shots is necessary. I tried to install them and got a message about a corrupt file, so I am downloading the three files again. It would be nice to be able to run X2 and know it isn't going to crash. Anyone have any issues with the .exe's?

i dont think they are necessary unless you plan on using them. for X1 i only downloaded pts 1 and 2 and i was fine. im pretty sure the loops and Oneshots and additional content are optional patches and sounds and things of that nature, for Dim Pro, Rapture, and drag and drop.. i'd be surprised if any of that stuff is required for X2's core features.
