SLOOOOWW X2 download
It started out at around 300+KB/sec this morning and it was doing it's thing slowly... But then it stalled as more folkd "got to it" I assume and now it is struggling along at around 70KB/sec....only seven more hours....to complete pt1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP BAKERS, HELP!

Mine is currently zinging along at around 1MB per second. Maybe your connection is borked.

you get a faster download speed by using shorthand to jot down the "1"s and "0"s when on the phone...

The installer parts 1-3 went at a decent clip but part 4 is taking its time. Kind of a bummer but what to do? work on some music in X1 in the meantime I guess...

Are you downloading with IE? If so get a download manager. It might help speed things up... or use Firefox.

I always drip about the slow downloads. This time I'm downloading the whole lot at the same time and getting around 80KB/sec per part. I'm tempted to kill the Dim Pro download but I don't want to jinx anything! Grum.

Beepster You're dling all at the same time? That sounds like it might cause some problems. I had to go out so I didn't want it to sit there waiting for the next thing! It appears to be working and, like I said in the first post, the downloads always suck for me so I'm willing to carry on as I am. Grum.
