I never get emails unless I buy something. I have contacted someone at Cake twice and they tld me it was fixed... but I guess I have given up on it. They just cannot seem to get me on the email list and I have been a customer since 2003. I suppose someone who has an old email address gets my emails because it seems that they cannot update my email... thugh, like I said, I get emails when I buy something.

No email here. I just happened to log in to the CW site and found it was ready to go. People who have paid for the pre-release will be bummed. Not every Sonar user visits the forums.

I found out only because Groove3.com sent me an email that they had a new "Understanding X2" video out and that Cake had released it today. still haven't gotten a email tonight.

I've been on the mailing list for about 6 years now and get regular emails from them, but not this time. Looks like many didn't get them, so not just me after all. Thanks for chiming in! I do agree other pre-bees will be bummed if they only stumble upon it by chance. Luckily, I'm on my last one now, but skipped Dim Pro & the Ex Packs, and the 3 Loops & One Shots which I would never use. I started the first 4 earlier today, and then went out for a while - done when I returned. 12% left on the DSF Strings Extra.

I didn't get my email either, and no it wasn't in my spam folder.
groove3.com sent me an email in the end which prompted me to download it.
I suspect there will be a few surprised people venting here when they do a manual check around the end of the month (I certainly wasn't expectingthe release to happen for another week or so).
Sell by date at 9000 posts. Do not feed. @48/24 & 128 buffers latency is 367 with offset of 38. I got my e-mail confirming the pre-sale purchase, so my e-mail is definitely in the CW system, but I haven't had an e-mail announcing the availability of the download, which is if no consequence because I'm here pretty much every day. But there must be plenty who are not and would have been looking forward to that e-mail. At least I think so. It makes me wonder, how many of us took advantage of the pre-sale offer anyway? Perhaps it was just us forum "regulars" that saw the deal?

If we had bought Sonar after it was released why would we expected an email notifying us it has become available?

Yep - Ditto! I always receive my order info, but have yet to receive any pre-announcements, newletters, etc. via e-mail ~ although I have received the electronic confirmation of the help ticket requesting that I be added to the list! A bit surprised - I have a couple of pages of purchases with Cakewalk on my account, covering just about every version of Sonar - and a LOT of addons! - dating back to 2001. In fact, according to my purchase record, my purchase of Project 5 goes back to 1/1/1900!!

I also got the 'Groove3 Sonar X2 video email, but still no presale even today. I think it's the only email I haven't got from Cake. Usually I'm bombarded every other week with them, even after I eventually give in. No big deal. It worked out for me just the same.
