IMPORTING MULTIPLE TRACKS INTO PROJECT

Just started working with X2. In previous versions, I could point to the 1st track in my project, select multiple wave files from a directory and they would import from the 1st track down to each individual track. X2 seems to want to import all the files to 1 track only. Is this by design? Is there a way to import multiple files into the project at once and have the populate the tracks as before? Thanks. Paul
