Where's the X2 Offline Help file ?
Opening help want to open your browser, online docs at cakewalk.com. There's an entry in the drop down menu that says "Download Latest Help file". But alas ... it takes you to the cakewalk site, and there's no help file in sight. That's no use for an 'offline DAW', which is how I run except when authorising plugins. Have I missed something here ?. I just can't find the offline help, and I'm not setting the DAW permanently online just so I can search/read help. Surely I'm missing someting here ?. Any help to find the help will be very much appreciated. Cheers - Cliff

Yeh it's the same file. the beauty is that it can be updated online as patches are released but foir the time being I have mine set on Offline Viewing. The other advantage to an html file is that all the links work not like in the past SONAR reference guide pdf. which was just a linear text document. Only links were from chapter to page but no internal links for easy navigation to related topics. help is finally helpfull and a better resource

Danny my man, thank you sooo much- you're a life saver !. My head was spinning a bit on that one, but I knew to come and ask here first. Sometimes the simplest things are just so easy to miss. OK, time to give this new version a workout. Cheers - Cliff

I can't find a 'Search' facility in the online one so I'll switch to the offline one in Prefs.

Just in case you're not aware. The help is context sensitive so if you click in a SONAR window of one sort or another then press F1 it will open at the appropriate spot in the help file. This was in previous versions even though the help wasn't HTML
