Audio disortion with Sonar X1 producer

I have just upgraded from cakewalk 9 to Sonar X1 Producer (following my previous music computer dying and having to set everything up again on a new system) and I am having problems playing audio tracks.

The same file in cakewalk 9 plays without disortion.  As soon as I try and play in Sonar, I get a crackling/popping sound over the top of the audio.  There is no issue playing midi tracks.  Trying to convert midi to audio, results in the audio track playing with disortion.

I am using an RME fireface UCX audio interface.

Do you have the latest ASIO drivers for the RME installed? What do you have the latency set to?

Thanks for the pointers. It was that I needed the latest ASIO drivers.  As soon as I updated, everything worked perfectly
