Sound Click Users?
Whats the deal with the constant errors I run into trying to listen to others music? The small pop up window will show "error downloading file" Are these songs that have been removed with the title left in the player or is it my end?

I don't know, but I've seen it as well. personally I have dumped soundclick and moved to soundcloud. I still have my account there and left my music there that I had put there, but no new music is going on it.

I normally will close the window and retry it. If the song is being updated or has been removed and the link is still in the post, perhaps you could get that sort of message. I updated....or tried to update my song yesterday to fix a few nits I heard in it. For some reason the new file would not upload but the old was was deleted by sound click. Several attempts were fruitless. I even rebooted the computer but nope..... no good. During that 30 minute time frame....I'm sure you would have gotten some sort of error message if you had clicked on my link. I ended up totally deleting the old and loading it up as a new song...... that worked.... then I updated the link in the thread.

Im noticing it widely across different people. An example would be like "Bitflipper-Daves" page. I think only 3 out of his 28 or so posts played without error. This isnt just a single computer thing here. I figure its just old links left on their menus or something. I like Soundclicks layout compared to others I use but not sure if I could deal with constant errors like that. I also like just being able to click down the menu and change songs without having to close this, open that, etc... SoundCloud cool if ya do the same thing with the set list but then what ya wanna hear needs to be on that list. Kinda makes ya jump around a bit. Atleast there I havent seen any loading probs. Was just curious on this error thingy

Herb, when uploading, use the simple upload widget thingy.

I tried the simple up load and nope.... it still would not encode. I have thought about using another service for the music,,,,,

Soundclick has had issues with their servers over the years. Could be scalability issues (or maybe their software was written by the same guys who wrote this ugly forum software). I just don't think they have the in-house technical savvy that many other sites rely on. There have been many times when I've played back a song that I'd just uploaded and had it abruptly stop short of the end, making me believe the upload had been truncated. But it hadn't, as I was able to subsequently download the file in its entirety. I don't have those problems with any other hosting site, but each of the alternatives has its own set of limitations and annoyances.

I have a premium account that I'm paying for too... and lately I'm getting the errors that Michael mentioned above... What's up?

Gets old for me cause I enjoy piping it (one of your guys sites) through the surround system as Im messing around the house and listen. Hard to do when it there, then its not and so on. Soundcloud hasnt missed a lick for me yet when I do what I do.

+1 to Bitflippers observations.
