SX2 - GI-20 to trigger Matrix Cell

Using a GI-20, how to get a ON/OFF toggle using a Matrix cell using the 24th fret on the e string?
 
Tried:
Right Click cell> Learn IDI
play 24th fret on the e string
note triggers the cell but then will not trigger again, off or on.
