X2 Worth It?

Simple question.  Is X2 worth it?  As an X1 Expanded and extremely satisfied customer, was the $99 worth my upgrade cost?

It is worth every dime I invested.  Are there glitches?  Yes!  I'm sure every beta tester is a pro with top notch equipment that do things a certain way and report what works and doesn't work for their flow.  Once the 1st release is out, a myriad of systems and peoples with varied styles of workflow have some kinks.  These will all work out.

Pretending that the two new prochannel modules in this producer edition is $20 a piece from the cakewalk store, the value is up to $40.
I don't really have an opinion of Overloud TH2, I tried it... I like just as well as Guitar Rig Pro.  I'll still use an amp and a mic.  I'll give $30.
I got the free download of HD strings $149 dollar value.... others say it's not worth it... I didn't have another version and I like it just fine - $149.
Rapture... I've only played with it a little... I didn't have it before and now I'm wondering why... $99
I'm sure I'll get around to trying out R-Mix but for now it's not really why I paid for the upgrade.

$318 Worth of Value in a $99 upgrade.  From a monetary standpoint... I'm happy.

From a production standpoint, I like some of the changes.

Tracks highlight a little differently than the all black.
There seems to be a bit more color in the screen (work area)  I like it.
I like the bar at the top of the clip.
LP64 multiband - I had quit using it because it was glitchy while making adjustments.  Oh boy... I like it.  End result... nice job this thing can really heat up a mix.
LP64 EQ - again... good job.
Channel Emulation so far for guitars... I love A-type.  I like how it smooths out the sound a touch of trim, a dab of drive.  I can A=B it over and over and I'm floored.
Rapture was an extremely pleasant surprise.  Having had Rapture LE, I didn't think the full blown version would be much different.  I was wrong.

I've had a few hiccups with changes in the way things are done.  When I get to a place with high speed internet, I will be watching the video explaining the changes.  I had an issue with the audio engine got that glitch worked out.  I've not had any issues since.  From a production standpoint, I'm happy.

I'm completely content.  The bugs are just that....bugs... I hit save a lot more but this will all balance out soon enough.
X-2 is a fine enhancement over X1.

My thoughts.  Love to hear some others.

For the price it's a no brainer. Even the little workflow enhancements are worth it nevermind the added content. IMHO of course.

    YES!

Its like to work with a new program. The new features and the new audioengine is awesome.
To be a first release version still extremly stable and very little bugs. I have had only one crash yet , kind of my fault!

So here's the bottom line...What is your time worth?  I've been using SONAR since v5. Are there other DAW's out there, of coarse. How much time and $$ are you willing to spend?  Sorry, not me.  After all these years of using SONAR, I'm still trying to get my hands around all the features and functionality.  My moto "Stick to one thing and learn it well". Better than "Jack of all trades, master of none", eh?  Just the was they improved on the interface (workflow) saves me time and that my friends is well worth the $99 spent!
