New projects sound strange....HELP

Hey guys.   I'm using Sonar 8 and I've got a strange problem.  I woke up today and all the new projects I start sound dull....as if there was a high-cut filter on the master channel.   Everything sounds really dull....but the old projects sound perfect.  Help please.

here is a sample

Have you double checked that nothing has changed in Options-dialogue (Project-settings) compared to your old projects?
Are we talking about MIDI or audio?

If old projects sound fine we know it's not your soundcard or anything technical, but a software setting somewhere, a setting that is not global, but affects only new projects..
We can't see inside your PC so you just have go through the setting one by one. Also make sure the track outputs are correct/the same as in the old projects.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

Kalle's right: the problem has to be within SONAR itself, and the first place to look would be your standard project template. Make sure your new project's routing is the same as your older reference projects.

I would also insert a white noise clip into a track and then use SPAN on the master bus to get an objective picture of what's happening to the audio. You could then import the same white noise clip into an old project, solo the noise and bypass all effects, and observe the output.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.
