ACT in X2 PC doesn't work on VS-700C
Okay.. I've now installed X2 on my stationary music computer where I use my VS-700C. Just after a few minutes I discovered that I can't jump between the units in PC with the EQ button (like in X1). The EQ-button isn't lit up as it used to be before either.. Non of the EQ, Send or ACT leds are lit up... =/ What's up with that? Anyone else got this problem or am I doing somthing wrong? Edit:_________________________________ Also.. Even though neither EQ, SEND or ACT is lit up I can change some of the parameters in the quad-EQ. the ACT assignements are all screwed up though... =/

Hey loptec. I am just geting round to trying out the Controll Channel I am finding the same and other problems I cant jump from one module to the next My lights though are lighting up but the EQ light will not light up again after hitting EQ send. After I press EQ again all the labels on the screen vanish and the Eq button is not lighting up I am finding all the buttons on screen do not tie in with what is on the VS- 700 Channel strip. There all over the place and I am finding I cant even control some things. Can you on anyone please confirm this ?

Are you finding the controls are also not matching up or is that just me ?
I have also found that there seems to be no way to control anything other than the top module... Selecting it with the mouse will not let me then control it with the VS.

When you all installed X2, were there installation files for it in the custom installation lists as in previous versions?

Crg When you all installed X2, were there installation files for it in the custom installation lists as in previous versions? yes. there were a few special installation options for the vs-system in the custom installation. I installed these edit: sorry Norrie. didn't see you'd already replied to this.. :)

Selecting it with the mouse will not let me then control it with the VS. Yes. It's exactly the same for me. All the control assignments are totally scrambled and make no sense at all...And selecting anything else than the top module is impossible, both with the vs-700c and with the mouse... disaster..

Experiencing the same problems. Also having problems with the "SNAP"-button. After I used it once, it freezes and can't be used to toggle SNAP on/off. Reported both. No response.

yup. can confirm the snap button issue. it's actually caused by the new "alternitiv snap setting" you get by holding down the N-key. - when pressing the Snap key on 700c sonar toggles snap on
- when pressing the Span key on 700c again, Sonar toggles this alternativ snap setting, instead of turning it off..
and because this confuses Sonar/700c in som way, the Snap button on 700c get stuck in on-mode and sonar's snap-setting get stuck in this alternativ mode (without having to hold any button down at all) I haven't reported anything yet, but will report everything I've seen so far today. Why can't we get some conformation from cakewalk!? It's like they're pretending not to see the vs-700 forum at all... Maybe they think we'd never switch DAW now, when we've already invested so much money in their products??.. ..Is this the reason they ignor us? They think we're stuck with them? Given all this money we've invested, couldn't they AT LEAST give us the respect of RESPONDING to our posts?!?!

I doubt it's that cynical. I just suspect the overall number of v700 users is fairly small, making support for it not the highest priority.

The answer will be like, "we can't read all the forums, please use the report bug function". And "there are no plans to end VS-700 support in the forseeable future". In 6-8 weeks there might be a patch that resolves bugs but does not add any new features - be it newly introduced ones (X2) or long awaited ones.
