Shelf Editing in Automation???? *SOLVED*

While I love X2 in many ways, I'm having a difficult time using automation when it comes to shelf editing. In previous versions you could just grab the line between two nodes and adjust the level. But now you can't click on the line without writing another node. It seems like now you have to go into an automation lane and tediously select the area then look for the shelf tool and THEN drag it up or down. And if you've been dragging clips around you have a dotted line that doesn't respond to the new way of doing things. In some respects this seems like a huge step backwards in efficiency. Does anyone know of an easier way to do this???

Try CTRL+Click to select the line portion.

I think I just figured it out. I seems like pressing ctrl brings back the original behaviour. Whew!!! That's a relief!
