TH2 Producer/Multidock Bug? Updated/Clarified
Can someone help confirm this: Short story: When TH2 is docked in an undocked multidock window, you can not make selections/changes to signal chain with mouse. Have the multidock undocked Start TH2 Producer Dock TH2 to the multidock. Maximize Multidock window Resize TH2 to fill the screen Now make a change to signal chain in the TH2 window. IOW change an amp,fx, left or right click on selection area then choose something from the menu. Can you do it? I can't. My result: every time I click the spot to change something (say an fx) the menu pops up, but as soon as I move the mouse, the menu goes away. So I'm not able to make a choice. Updated: I am able to reproduce this behavior on a Win7 and Vista machines. It has to do with the size of the GUI of TH2. TH2 lets you resize it's GUI, which I think is wonderful. So naturally I made it as big as I could! Loved the look. That causes the problem I am finding. When I shrink the GUI down, the problem goes away. [Edited steps to reproduce.]

Just tried this exactly as described, unfortunately I have been unable to reproduce your problem. Sorry.

Thanks Wookie. I have played with it trying to setup a trk template and it is still doing the same thing for me. In fact I have found that when going to the search function of TH2, all keystrokes are ignored and transffered to X2 so that when typing a search for something that starts in "T", it'll open up the "Smart Tool' options. Type "A" and "Audio Snap" options opens. Type "L" and turns on "Loop" [edit] I can not make any popup menu choices when I have TH2 in a undocked multidock maximized window. Try to right click to save a sound, won't happen. Every time I move the mouse the menu disappears! [/edit]

Wookie if you would please, see if you multi docked window is maximized. What I have found is when undocked multidock window is NOT maximized, this will not happen. But when you maximize the window it will happen. See if that happens to you.

[/edit] Hi Grem, In order to give the plug-in keystrokes (typing into the search bar for TH2) you must enable the button on the top right of the plug-in (Give all Keystrokes to Plug-in). In general all keystrokes always go to the app. That way while adjusting a plug-in you can still press play / stop, open a different view, or save your project without having to set focus back to the app. I'm not able to reproduce the menu issue that you're having yet, but if you come up with any more info on how to reproduce that from a clean project please reply to my post. Thanks,

Thanks, That did it for the keystrokes Lance. But not the other problem. Steps I did: Started new Project Inserted Audio trk Placed TH2 in FX bin Add Something (amp) Works as expected Now add TH2 to Multi Dock Undock Multi Dock Drag Multi Dock to second monitor Maximize Multi Dock window My Results I can not make any popup menu Choices in TH2 Such as change amp, add stomp, rack fx and so on. Undock TH2 from Maximized Multi Dock window and it works as expected. Lance if you need more info let me know. I wanted to see if this can be reproduced before I made a report. But as I do more testing, there is surely something going on here.

Wookiee Will try later today Thanks. Also, how do you use TH2? What I am referring to is the GUI. When I try to dock it in the multi dock there are buttons off to the right side that will not show up on anything other than a "almost maximized" sized window. No Scroll bars appear at all. Is this normal?

@pwal At first I thought it did. But in my tests I found as long as the multidock is undocked, it'll do it. At fist I thought that the undocked multidocked window had to be maximized. But it's happening even with the multidock floating on the first monitor. Again wookie, thanks for trying. I went ahead and made a problem report on it to see if they can reproduce it.

Just been having a little play, got distracted by the sound I was making sorry. Well I was having fun. I still am unable to recreate your problem. The report is a good thing to do though. Hope you sort the problem.
