X2

Ok  As usual with any major Software upgrade X2 is not stable yet!! How many times have we heard that when it hits the floor running-well it aint running only jogging at the moment !!! But...................................... Audio is a lot crisper and brighter and the changes to PRV are better and dare i say nearly as good as FL 10 !  If you have quality monitors in your studio then the Console Emulation is good in fact very good -very warm ! The Pro Channel is again awesome and now being able to control with ACT is a big plus for FX !!!  I could go on and on but the written word is no substitute for" Hands On " !! My only real Big Gripe is the same old GUI -Bakers get some colours in your Lives !!!!! So i await the first bug fix and whilst im finishing on the that -Rapture and Di Pro are not working- but this has been reported on the Forum and i dont use them as such !!! To recap once the Fixes are in place -Cakewalk is winning the DAW WARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

I disagree with the assertion that X2 is not stable.  Many, many customers are happily using it without major problems -- it seems you're one of those, if I read you correctly.  The fact that some are having issues does not mean there are fundamental flaws.  No similar software ever has zero problems for all users -- if there is such a product, please mention it, as the responsible organization ought to win some kind of fabulous award.

Stable here after I fixed the disk error I had. Don't make the mistake of assuming X2 is causing your crashes. Run CHKDSK /F on your disk drive.

Are you running the 32 or 64 bit version of Sonar? Which version of Dimension and Rapture are you using?

Frozen tracks with Rapture 32 are crashing for me if I unfreeze them. Rapture 64 (any recent project) works great.

    Peace,
