X2 Worked Great on first recording session

I did the first recording session with X2 yesterday.  It worked flawlessly, but it was only "analog" tracks, no MIDI.   The session is the first part of a new CD project for semi-retired Nashville songwriter (BMI) and producer Jimmy Peppers.  Jimmy has written 10 new songs for the project.  We laid down 3 songs yesterday, one is a novelty song along the style of Roger Miller, another is a classic country ballad with pedal steel and the third is a modern country/rock song with Telecaster lead.

I also remixed a song for a prior X1 session and it too worked without problems.

I did some recording yesterday as well. Everything went well and had no glitches. The only problem I have had is if I make changes to my AI setting while Sonar is open. Simple enough thoush. Just close Sonar, make the changes and then restart Sonar. The change I made was to the latency settings.

Pleased you've both had good sessions. It's encouraging for other users

By the way, excuse me if I'm missing something obvious, but AI setting? What does that mean?

    AI - Audio Interface
May I ask what is the issue with the Octa Capture ?

Edit : I just read, regarding the latency setting.. I can change my Quad Capture latency setting while inside Sonar without any problem.

Guitarpima, try disabling the audio engine via the toggle button in the transport before making changes. Another option is just to have the project closed.

    Best Regards,

I'll try that next time. What would happen is the project would start with no audio and keep going further than the energizer bunny. I end up having to end the task. Then I have to power down/on the OC so Sonar recognizes it again. Wierd...
