I hate to say it but X2 is crashing a lot for me!

Started my first new project in X2 tonight. Up until now I've just been working on a couple of X1 projects that I've brought into X2, with no problems.

So far I have 2 synth tracks, both Reaktor. In the course of getting these tracks up and running, and putting console emulation on them, Sonar has crashed about once every 5 minutes. Sometimes just randomly, and other times as soon as I click on the master bus, or try to open the master bus PC during playback. It's at the point where I'm frightened to click anything on the master bus!

I have this feeling X2 is not getting along with Reaktor. Other things are happening, for instance the volume on one of the synths just randomly halves sometimes without me doing anything in the synth, or to levels in Sonar. The only way I could get the volume back was to reload my preset in Reaktor. This never happened in X1. Another time, the top end just cut out in the synth, as if I'd applied a LPF. I didn't touch any of the synth controls, in fact the window wasn't even open. Again, the only way I could get the original sound back was to reload the preset. This is a sound I've used many times before in Pro Tools and X1 without any of this weirdness.

Hmmm!

Run ChKDSK /F on your C: drive. I was having crashes, CHKDSK found and fixed the problems and now I'm not having any crashes.

I also cleaned up my VSTs and removed about 100 that I got from various places on the web (most of which weren't that good anyway). Now I'm using mainly the pro-channel and plugs I got from Cakewalk and its very stable.
