OMG X2 Step sequencer and inline broken

The inline First off i know its a bit fiddley sometimes when using the fit midi command in X1, it can take a few goes and a bit of dragging the pain for it to work, but usually it eventually works, i have had a few instance where the bottom line or so and the graphic have crossed over to the track line below,and are akward to get it to vannish/correct its self, But now In x2 i can not get the bottom line my kick drum to show up in the inline, unless its fully expanded and then its still akward to achieve,and fit to midi does not work, so basically the inline is now broke i have lost the number benifit of sonar. ????????
 
Step sequencer i created a clip with a drum maps,then converted it to a stepsequence and copied it then unlinked these, it then would not let me open any sequence, the seuqence i selected with the data either opens up as a blank  ovelaying the old clip on top in a offset position, or it opens up with all the steps missing, despite my actual clip pain view has data present.
so i then removed these step sequence clips to revert them to midi event clips, then tried just to convert one to a step sequence, now my option is blanked out to turn it into a  step sequence, via both event and the top menu bar above the transport, I have tried everything, read the help info, and nothing to explain or solve this.
 
I was really looking forward to the improved features, so hope this can be fixed, or it will be worse than X1, i also think i have stupid issues with drawing automation, but will post about that after some more trouble shooting, and some other stuff going on still to look into.

Iam going to take a better look today, i sorted out one aspect last night and  a kinda workaround for another aspect, but still not 100% sure , it was quite late last night for me, so as they say another day with a fresh out look on things.
