more perfect space problems
good morning everyone, i'm trying not to sound like a bore but i can't figure this out. so this is what i'm doing. 1. hit the impulse tab, what opens is "select wave file to load" 2. then i hit SONAR home 3. hit sample content 4. then i open computer/local disk C 5. then program files then VST plugins 6. then perfect space then i get "file is empty" 7. then i go back and open program files (x86) but get the same result. when i open perfect space i can manipulate some things like add nodes and move things around but no impulse files. my guess is that when i installed X-2 somehow the entire perfect space plug id didn't load correctly. i really don't want to uninstall X-2 and reinstall. does anyone have any ideas? i'm stuck thank you all very much

First I would use Windows to search for an IR included with Perfect Space. Search for Thickness.wav or Vanilla.wav . Those are two wavs included the Digital 300 directory of Perfect Space. If Windows cannot find them I would perform a custom install to reinstall Perfect Space.

Yes, select Custom install then make sure that Perfect Space is the only thing checked.

Did you look in the folders for any impulses. You can load more from voxengo. Basically, you can put the impulses anywhere and point PS to the folder. I hardly ever use the included impulses, but have several gigs on my work drive w/ impulses. @

I think the default path is: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Perfect Space

Why hasn't Perfect Space got any further attention??? Is it b/c it was developed Voxengo or what??? Can't believe it's still not even a 64 bit plug.

voxengo don't even do a x64 version (yet), though they are gradually updating all their plugs, so maybe cake'll license it again if they do, but convolution reverbs are so, er, 2005?
