I think the new NLS is stellar.  I'm using it a bit more than the VCC.

There were a few threads/mentions of NLS in the software forum. People seem to dig it.

I know I'll regret it but I'm passing on that sweet deal - and in order to stick to that decision, I've avoided demo'ing it because I tend to buy almost every Waves plug-ins I try. ;)

I have it (since I have Mercury) and the next project I start I will be using it to get a comparison. The last two started with VCC (myolpal will be astonished to find that I can finally hear some of the subtly added by VCC, either that I'm just hoodwinked).

Bapu has Mercury!  Wow...  And I thought having Diamond was extreme.  Did you have to take a second out on your house for that???

Nope. Got it on a super sale a while ago. A bit before the prices have been dropping, but still considerably less than what it is today on audiodeluxe.com or wavesuniverse.com. I was fortunate to have jumped on a (24 hour IIRC) price that was too good to pass up.

And to boot, it V8 and it included a year of WUP. Which meant that I got V9 and 3 major updates since then at no cost.

Yeah, only way to get that stuff...  I got my upgrade to Diamond (from Gold) after attending a SONAR/Waves workshop at one of the GC's around here a bunch of years ago.  I can't imagine paying the full retail price for those packages!
