So I took the kids to the Renaissance ...

... Festival over the weekend.  As we were walking around I noticed a group of (quote, unquote) grown men dressed as Starfleet Officers.

Later in the day, as we were taking the long walk back to our car through the massive parking field, I was thinking to myself, while looking down at the ground so nobody would see me laughing, what do you call a bunch of dorks at a nerd convention (or is that nerds at a dork convention ... and I mean that in a good way).

My kids started yelling with excitement snapping me out of my Star Trek / Medieval confluence induced trance just in time for me to witness a bunch of (quote, unquote) grown men dressed as the Ghost Busters drive by in an Ectomobile (it was probably a late 80’s or early 90’s Ford wagon  and not a ’59 Caddy).

Everything belongs to the "Renaissance" that is not today.
