PRV Navigation X2

Hi all
I will try explain this as best I can....
In PRV when I hit play on my transport usually the screen will move as the now time line moves along so I can watch the rest of the PRV as the track is playing along

I have been finding that the PRV screen is not always automatically scrolling along the track some times it will others it wont. Ive not changed any settings.

Can anyone shed some light on why this might be ?

When the PRV is not moving try right clicking on the upper part of the time line.

Because you are on X2 it has an automatic stop scroll in the the TV and the PRV when you start to edit stuff.  That can be misinterpreted if in fact all did was click in the window.

I'm not sure this is the answer in your case but it could very well be.

X1 had it too but not to the same degree.

ahhh that sounds like it could be the case then.
Is there a way to turn the auto stop scroll off ?
I think it might end up doing my head in as I like to play and edit if I edit and it stops all the time it will drive me crazy !

I don't know of a way to turn it off, but I can't see why one would want to.  Remember its a simple right click to start scrolling again.  If you edit something I would think stopping is useful once the editing is done you do the click thing it should enhance the work flow not impede it.

    Sorry for the slow reply.
For me I would want to be able to turn it off.

To restart the scroll I have to Right click on the time line this then opens the markers menu so I have to left to get rid of the menu.

For example if I was wanting to add a few notes or crash hits through a drum session I would want to just hit play and drop them in as it plays along but if the screens not scrolling then I have to do the process above for each hit.

I have always just hit play on my transport if it was going too fast and then play again to start this is a lot quicker than the way it is now.

If you are seeing the marker menu you're right clicking too low in the ruler. Try the top half of it where the cursor turns to a magnifying glass.

To turn it off, use track view-->Options-->Click behaviour-->left click locks scroll and set that to off.
