Can anyone recommend a PC that will accept a FireWire card?

I've finally accepted that I'm going to need to get a new PC to play nice with X2 Producer.

I also realize that my ages-old Emu 1810 PCI/boxtop interface will no adequate for the job.

While I do know that I want my next PC to have at least an Intel Core I5 8gig RAM and a 1T hard drive, I also would prefer one that can accommodate a FireWire card since I'd prefer to use a Firewire based audio interface.

I absolutely don't want to build one on my own and I don't want a Mac and I don't want to spend a fortune (i.e., I'd prefer not to have to spend more than around $600-$700, including the card). However, after 'online chatting' on Dell and HP, I've found that almost none of their affordable systems don't offer options for installing FireWire cards. And since it's unclear to me whether these systems' PCI slots will accept any third party Firewire cards, I'm at a loss. Ironically, my five year Dual Core Pentium accepted my old Emu card (which does have a Firewire port) with no problem. It's unclear to me however whether this card will fit in a newer system.

Ideally, I'd like to get a Dell Inspiron 6xx series, since they offer the most affordable configuration for the specs I want.

Does anyone have any insights into compartibility of Firewire cards with the newest generation of PCs?

And if you're wondering why I don't want to use a USB system, it's because I have so many USB devices attached to a computer (wireless connector, wireless mouse and keyboard, printer, sound module, etc.) that I worry about all of these things interfering with each and slowing down audio performance.

Thanks in advance!

I believe most Firewire cards are compatible with just about any PC...find a card online and go to the manufacturers website for compatibility specs.
