I'm taking a break today...

I've been plowing away at X2 every day since I've installed it and before that I can't remember a day I had taken off from X1. I gotta remember that although I enjoy playing with all this stuff NEVER taking a break probably isn't very good for my health or sanity. So whatchyou all up to today?

Spent the night out yesterday, so today will be a quiet day. ;)

I have yet to get back to making music, because the key to my productivity is regularity. And since we're on vacation for another week or so, I can't really work regularly, so I'm just enjoying the time off. Which is cool.

I think I'm gonna play some old Nintendo games online. Haven't done that in a while. I'd play CoD but I think I need something a little more mindless. Got Super Mario up right now. :-)

Spent all day outside in the yard getting ready for winter.  Breaktime for the night I believe and maybe a couple cold ones to help my aching bones out a little.

Might even figure out a song or 2 to mess with

Might try and work on bettering my youtube stuff. What is there was thrown together real fast so it sucks  LOL

Yeah, I got a barley pop on the go too and playing Crush the Castle. Hopefully the combination will loosen my back a bit (CtC is just a click game so no tensing up). Been playing to much guit, bass and MIDI pads the past few days. The bass and pads are the ones that mess me up most. The bass throws me out of balance and I get a little... uh, overexcited with the pads. Also... trebuchets are cool.

Just nevermind about Ga Tech or LSU... or the Braves. I am almost afraid to watch UGA vs SC or the Falcons tomorrow against the Redskins.
BTW GA is #5 and SC is #6 in the rankings, not 6 and 7 like some other idiot said above.

We finally closed on our house up in Iowa yesterday. Almost a month later than we were told it would happen. :(

So, now we have a few bucks to spend remodeling the new(ish) house so we went out looking at appliances and countertops today. The house we bought was built in 1989 and has the original appliances and counter tops. Amazingly, it was well taken care of and everything is like new, but it's really dated looking and it's just a matter of time before the oven and blows up. 23 years is a long life for an appliance.

It was fun, but I get tired and cranky after a while. I like to go get something and be done with it, not go to 15 stores, compare prices, features, appearances, it drives me crazy.

But it was good to get away from the computer a while and to finally know our house is officially sold. Get the check on Monday.

I spent the day trying to earn some rent money.  This entailed driving 3.5 hours to the destination (Bend Overagain Oregon), putting out a bunch of those boxes and tubes that count traffic (while avoiding being hit), then driving back those 3.5 hours.  Yay.

Well... that sounds exciting. Yesterday... I went canvasing door to door with a PAC asking voters a single question...... which I can not repeat here due to the TOS.... it was political....... we used Ipad looking gizmo's which had all the into in them, including maps and GPS and the survey was in it too.... no clipboards and pens needed.... high tech red neck came to mind more than once.....

Then home for lunch, to hang out for a few hours and then off to a wedding to see "My other daughter" get married. She is not actually my daughter but was a very close friend of both of my daughters and referred to herself as my "other daughter". It was a  lovely marriage at a beautiful cabin by a pair of lakes back in the woods.... good time had by all....

    Home to bed.....

In an unrelated matter, here's a corporation started with the purpose of collecting money and moving to New Zealand.  Its called, "Future Plans for New Zealand PAC."  They are open for donations.  This months goal is $100m.

I heard you on that outside work before winter.

I have a practical approach to this.

Leave it for now and when Winter comes you can say to yourself, free from any kind of guilt, "it's far too cold to do it now".

I'm sitting on a lovely Metro North train rattling up the beautiful Hudson River having taken the day off from everything to go visit a friend upstate. The fresh air...the trees...the mountains. We'll be playing Mario Karts for money and drinking beer, as usual.
