Importing color sets

Since the pre-X days I've had a color set for my MIDI tracks that I've come to rely on. The Sonar 8 set imported perfectly into X1; however, I can't seem to get this set to work properly in X2. After importing the color set into X2 (exported from X1) the list of MIDI track background colors in the preferences/customization/colors/MIDI tracks listing displays the desired colors. The problem is that the MIDI tracks themselves are displayed in the basic "theme" colors - not my custom colors.
I can override this by using the track inspector to change the track's background color, but that shouldn't be necessary.
Anyone else see this behavior and/or have a solution?
