Deleting bars that appear to be linked..

Hi Guys.. haven't used Cakewalk for a long while..so sorry in advance! I've copied and pasted the same bar about 20 times..but pasted the same bar twice, and, as I've tried to delete that dodgy bar..all the other 19 bars delete too!!! Even if i delete 1 note..it deletes the same note in EVERY bar.. (Sonar 8.5) ..I'm sure there's an easy explanation! They must be linked but how do I unlink them? Thanks in advance..Dave

yeah... they are linked..... but I don't often use the copy/paste thing so I'm not up to speed on how to unlink them.

    Welcome to the forum!
How about reading the Help files about linked clips? I don' remember either, how to unlink. Right clicking?? The Help files are not there just to fill your HDD, you know. If you know what to look for, like now linked clips, it's easy. When you don't know the search word, it can be frustrating.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.
The benefit of being a middle aged amateur is the low number of years of frustration ahead of you.

This is from the SONAR Home Studio 6 Help files:
    Unlink Clips dialog
When you right-click a selected group of two or more linked clips and choose Unlink from the popup menu, the Unlink Clips dialog box appears.
This command lets you specify when unlinking selected linked clips whether to form a new, different linked group or to make the clips completely independent.

To stop this from happening in the future, uncheck the Link Clips box in the copy/paste dialog.
