if you buy X2 upgrade from a retailer

like Sweetwater...how long until your registration shows up in your e-store account?

I got X2 registered by receiving the registation code in an email, but I want to make sure it shows up in my e-store account as well with all of my other registrations.

how long does it take for that to show up?

I would think you should register your upgrade.

Huh?  apparently you didn't understand my question.

If you notice, I said in my original post "I got X2 registered by receiving the registration code in an email"

that wasn't my question.  my question is:  how long does it take for the X2 registration to show up in my e-store account if I didn't buy X2 upgrade from cakewalk, but bought it from sweetwater?

    LOL!

    Of course he didn't.

Let me guess, since I got him blocked, it's something you did wrong, something wrong with your PC, or he accused you of not registering your software ... right? :-)

    To answer your question ...

    I bought X1 from Sweetwater.

I just checked my account and it's not there. It's been a long time, but if I remember correctly it was emailed to me.

EDIT: I meant to say it was 'only' emailed to me, not 'it was emailed to me.'

So because you received an email you assume you are registered. Yet your account does not reflect that. Interesting.

yes, it was emailed to me and I have already registered it.

but previous versions that I have bought from retailers ARE in the e-store account.  for example, I purchased Sonar 8 upgrade from sonar 6 from sweetwater and sonar 8's registration information IS listed in my e-store account.

so I do want to make sure that X2 is also listed in my e-store account, if for no other reason than to make sure that my next upgrade will be considered a valid upgrade and not show that I skipped X2 which would mean my next upgrade would cost more if cake thinks I don't own X2 in my account.

John.  I don't understand how else to tell you.  I received the registration in the email.  I pasted the registration code into X2's registration window.  X2 is registered on my computer.

the only problem is that it is not showing up in my e-store account.  what is it that is so hard to understand about that?

Hey Beagle ... I was mistaken ... my X1 Producer Serial Number and Reg Code are both there ... my apologies.

But I don't remember how long it took for them to show up. I remember getting the Serial and Reg in an email but never checked my account to see how long it took for them to show show up.

I'd email or call Sweetwater ...

thanks Bub.  yeah, I don't remember how long it took to show up for sonar 8 either, but I was thinking it wasn't that long.  I registered X2 on Friday, so I would think it shouldn't take more than a couple of business days to get updated into my e-store account, but I don't know and was hoping someone knew.

When I have bought an upgrade from CW which is the only way I have ever bought an upgrade of Sonar I have had to authorize it too. Not only did they send me the numbers but the upgrade as well. Now I have never paid much attention on when those numbers appear in my account. The reason is I have them in hand. Right now my account shows all those numbers If all you are concerned about is when they show up simply give CW time. They will appear.

yes, John.  My question is simply "how much time."

since you have never bought sonar outside of cakewalk then you are not able to help me.   thank you for your time.

    Hey Beagle,
Has it shown up in your e-store account yet?
Just curious because I have the same situation except a different retailer than Sweetwater.

To all - I talked with Cakewalk technical support this afternoon.

They indicated to me that they have an internal problem with these X2 registrations, that they ARE actively working on fixing things at their end, and that they WILL make sure everybody's registrations appear properly in their accounts.

I hope this helps a bit,
