My first X2 project- "The Ballad Of Red Dirt Eddie (Amen Sister)"

Well...
Here's my first project finished with X2 (started in X1 about a week before X2 was released). It's kind of a Funk thing, I'd like to think Tower Of Power would sound good on it (yeah, right!)

Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for listening (and commenting, if you'd care to)

This is mad funky! It's like James Brown and Primus. Really Cool. EDIT: Listen again. Great tune, man. Great lyrics and funky bass, keys and guitar parts. There's an organ in there that reminds of 'spill the wine.' Great job.

I have to agree with Matt.  Long before dubstep and hiphop this is what we had for dance tracks.  This captures that style so well that it transported me back in time.  The lyrics are way cool and elevate this song to a very high level, imo.  Congrats!

    All the best,
    Lynn

Great stuff.  Its got that funk, tells a great story, and the rhyming is terrific.  Love that keyboard work.

    D. Triny- Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I tried to make the first measure extra special good, LOL

Makzimia- Thank you for listening and the kind words.

notnat- Glad you like the lyrics, yeah, they go by pretty quick, heh, I almost got my tongue tangled a few times trying to sing 'em!

Freddy- Much obliged, glad you enjoyed the story. The people are real, the story is a figment of a fevered imagination, LOL. Thanks for the kind words on the keyboards, I spent a lot of time on them because I'm really just a guitarist/bassist and I have to do keys bit by bit, thanks a lot!
