Easy View Question

Hey Guys--

After I migrated Sonar 8 to Win 7 64-bit there is a channel strip to the left of the track view that I just can't remember how to hide. I even think I asked this questions years ago and forgot.

I also can't remember how to change the insertion of a soft synth so that the audio track and the midi tracks are separate. And last but not least...if I've already got a soft synth audio midi in one track combo going, how to I split them into one audio and one corresponding midi track?

Phew--you'd think I'd know this stuff already, but this kind of configuration for me is set it and forget it--which I do very well! :-)

Thanks all!

Type I to toggle the Track/Bus inspector

When inserting a soft synth make sure MIDI Source and First Synth Audio Output are selected in the Insert Soft Synth Options dialog. If you want them in a folder also select Synth Track Folder

In the Track view, right-click the track strip and select Split Instrument Track from the pop-up menu.

Thank you so much. It's those little things that distract the creative process. I've disrupted my flow by moving everything to Win 7 and these were the few things left that I hadn't taken care of yet. I appreciate it!

OK--you know what I did? I hid the dialog box that pops up when I add new soft-synth tracks. Everything else worked great, but I can't find where I can configure newly inserted tracks to separate the MIDI and the audio.

Any help is really appreciated. I'm almost back to my flow I had before migrating!

Not sure I get the question, but you either add/ insert a MIDI or an Audio track, you cannot change the type of track once inserted.
