Saving as a template - does it save all my fx and buses?

I'm probably being stupid here but I thought I'd ask to confirm my dumbness....

Recorded a session the other day with 10 different songs and have mixed the first one and am very happy with the sound.  What I want to do is save all the pro channel settings, FX bin, bus structure etc so I can use it as the start of the mix for the other tracks and then tweak from there.  Without it I could spend a very long time recreating the mix I have for the other songs which is a ball ache.

If I save the project as a template does all of the above get saved or would I be better renaming the project and deleting the audio that is currently in it and then copying the data for each new song into it?

Thanks in advance

A template will save everything except the clips etc.
