I like the feel of this tune, almost kind of like modern country meets reggae. This song is well done and a bit different from what I expected, but different in a good way.

Hmm, I'm curious as to what you were expecting... (grin;-)
Thanks for listening and commenting... I followed your music link and was impressed with what I heard... I hope you'll post something here soon...

Please check-out the re-mix here...

I aint sayin this cos ya commented on my track or anything, but this is one of my favs from you Frank, it has excellent melody and a real laid back feel. I could easily play this in the background at home. Gave me a kenny rogers feel.

For me, although very well done, I thought the guitar break was too long, but very minor crit.

This is very nice Frank, a little departure from your usual genre perhaps, but a really sweet, well written song. Lovely mix, and an effortlessly good solo as always. You never disappoint me..

Love that twangy geetar.  Nice mixture with the background vocals and those really nice guitar licks.  Very tasteful lines.  A nice tune.  Nothing stands out as not right.  Nice clean mix.  Great ending.

Daryl

Thanks Daryl... I appreciate the feedback... Fun project...

Thanks for the ears & words Cian... I don't really get the Kenny Rodgers referance, but I am glad you like the tune, and I agree with you about the guitar solo maybe being a little too long... Thanks again for the feedback...

 Hi Frank,

I really liked the quack you're getting from that guitar. Have not read the other posts and maybe you said what you are playing here, I'm guessing it is a fender?

I am a south Georgia native so I know all about those south Georgia pines lol....the only difference is I don't want to go back there ;) at least not on a permenant basis. Still I liked those words, always liked songs about returning to our home.

The playing and singing were really nice here on this one.

Really well done!

I don't know the song. Everything sounds great, especially the backing ahs. I like the song.

Well done!

Georgia Pines. Something I did not expect to say about a song flirting with reggae (it's usually too happy sounding to me): great groove, musical, laid back playing, sweet vox sound and mix is well balanced. One of my favorite tunes I've heard this autumn.

The next song in SoundClick playlist, Ain't never goin' back, success to avoid the most obvious blues cliches. Tempo change to the solo part is refreshing and band comes back to original tempo very smoothly.

Staris -  yes, it's an old Fender Telecaster... she will quack... where 'bouts in south Georgia? I've been lost on some of those ol' backroads...

John - I donno' the guitar solo might be a little long... but thanks...

Bats - jimmy buffet? who's he?   I really appreciate the feedback... I'll re-visit that kick...

Guitarpima - glad you liked my "ahhs"  thanks...

Herb - thanks Herb... that singer was me... and me, and me...

Panup - Thanks for the feedback..., actually that was not my band, just me trying to sound like my band, "The BopCats"...
