Sonar X2 Studio plug-in settings random resets

First noticed that the Sonitus eq plot on top of console channel would lose graph settings and or dump the plug into FX bin showing two instances of the same eq (similar to the producer patch fix). This would happen across a few random channels at a time during a mix session. After a save the mix would be all out of wack because the settings have returned to default on one or more eq's across different channels. This issue can be bypassed by not using the built in EQ graph on the channel when a starting a new project. In other words only using the Fx bin.  Work arounds don't help projects previously done in Sonar LE's  from version 4-X1. Any suggestions aside from starting from scratch? 
 
The problem may be where the program stores the settings to begin with. I have to do extra steps to save my presets unlike before. It saves in two places now instead of the normal way of doing it with just over-typing the name and hitting save. This has changed in recent versions there are two pull down windows now. Maybe it's where the changes are being stored that is causing the problem, anybody familiar with that part of it?
