Can you get a transport bar (menu) in Console View?

It's driving me freaking nuts while mixing that I don't currently have one and have to go back to track view to move around within the song. Thanks all!

Or, can't you just float the control bar?

I don't know of a keyboard command to bring up the transport module. You can hold down T to bring up the tool bar. The space bar will start playback. I am still learning a lot of the keyboard commands

you can try this but it takes room away from your console. Instead of floating the console doc it. The keyboard shortcut D will hide the dock. rest the mouse over the border of the dock view and the track pain view. left click to hold and expand it all the way up. stretch the dock view up to the control bar. Now just by hitting the D key you can go back and forth from almost a full console (depending on your resolution) to the track view and you will have the entire control bar.

I forgot to tell you that using the keyboard shortcut C will hide the control bar. and this will bring back the full Console view. So if you set it up like this you can use the shortcuts C and D to control the Console view and have access to the control bar

    Hi ChuckC,

Watch for sales on NewEgg and get a second monitor. That way you can have TV on one and CV on the other. It was probably the second best investment I made.

    Kind regards,
    Rick

You can show the time line above or below the console view with or without the current tracks waveform or MIDI clip.

Open the console view in the multidock (It does by default)
Click and drag to resize the multidock to show as much or as little of the track view/time line that you want to see.

If it's something you use regularly copy it to an empty screenset slot (Ctrl + number key) and it's there for whenever you need it.

Having said that the multidock will remember the Console view size anyway. Just press D to show or hide it.

As previously mentioned if it's the transport controls you want to see they are in the transport module in the Control Bar which can be shown or hidden by pressing C
