UAD's "Sonar Compatibiity Mode"--should it be selected?
Just noticed that the "Sonar Compatibiity Mode" box is not checked on my UAD2 card configuration. Should it be? I am using Sonar X2 64bit. Never had an issue, but it surprised me.

No, it's a holdover from the UAD 1 cards and a much older version of SONAR. I always had better results with it off even back in the day when it was supposed to be useful. I don't recall what it was technically supposed to do.
They call 'em fingers, but I've never seen 'em fing.

I found that Sonar Compatibility Mode actually caused problems with some particular UAD plugins. After unchecking it, these problems disappeared.
