Behringer DDX3216

I've got a Behringer DDX3216 gathering dust.

I also bought the ADAT expansion card because, at the time, I was using am RME ADAT card (9632 I think) and the DDX3216 was a brilliant interface for recording the band I was in at the time.

Since then I had a long break from music and now that I'm back I've gone all laptop based and I can only foresee myself doing solo work. So it is unlikely that I will ever use my DDX3216 again.

Is it worth trying to sell? Are people still using this stuff nowadays? I was almost taking it to the skip but I paid over £1000 for the bugger.

I am aware that Behringer have a bit of a bad rep amongst the hard core due to them ripping off other peoples products, but aside from that I think the quality is not that bad...

cheers

Not sure how much you can get for it, but it is worth something.

On the other hand, you might find it useful for a live show, and with the ADAT card it is valuable as a second interface.

I hardly ever sale anything - I keep 'em until they break and if worth fixing, fix it.  I still have an original mini-moog, arp and a monitoring system over 30 years old.

Just had a look on eBay and it looks like you could get about £250 for it.

Actually more with the ADAT expansion. One with two ADAT expansion cards went for 435 just a couple of weeks ago.

I'm with you there AT. Many years ago I had a load of gear (Tascam 244, Juno, Multi-Moog, SH101 etc.) but I suddenly became quite short of cash due to a change in circumstances and I ended up with just my Eko 6 guitar.

I vowed since then that I would not do that again.

Thanks for looking on ebay John. Saves me doing it. Actually, £250 ~ £300 wouldn't be too bad. I was considering sticking it on ebay and taking what ever comes. But I dunno... I can't make my mind up.

It formed part of a semi-respectable home studio, along with some hardware synths and effects. I've stripped it all down now because I needed the room for something else. And I am really enjoying being "liberated" with my laptop based "studio" now.

I'm just rambling here now... I should just make my mind up and have done with it. I'm hopeless at selling stuff lol.
