Sonar X1 Which Build???

Hi All.  I just installed Sonar X1 Build 185.  Are there more recent builds that I need to get?  A friend says that he has build 534??  Please help with my confusion.  Thanks!

    Go here: http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/kb/reader.aspx/2007013277

It depends on whether you have Essential, Studio, Producer, Producer Extended, Production Studio, etc....

On the Cakewalk support site under X1, the patch releases are X1a through X1d, inclusive.

Within each one is an associated build, but if you look at the About Sonar info it will tell you which of the above you are on, and you can upgrade as needed through the X1d.

Thanks for the tips.  I have to day that this is a little weird.  X1a (12/22/2010) was said to be "denegrated" and not to use it.  X!b said don't use if if you are going to use x1c.  X1d said it must be installed over x1c.  So, I only downloaded and installed x1c and x1d.  I'm surpised that I purchased new software without these "fixes" and there is no mention in the install instructions to check for them either.

If this is a new purchase you may be eligible for the free X2 upgrade saving you the X1 update maze that has been known to cause much confusion in the past. Do a search, there are many threads on this very subject.  If you registered X1.....Check your Cakewalk account, it may be in there. Good Luck and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the responses.  It took a number of hours, but I was able to download X2  for free.  I'm totally new to Sonar and am going to use X1 (updated) for now.  I'll wait for the X2 bugs to be fixed and for more "help" info such as videos to be available for starting in on X2.  Really appreciate everybody's help.  Thanks a heap!

I wouldn't wait - X2 seems to have less bugs than X1, but that's just from my own obsevations
