i loaded them in the computer and can locate them here: program files(x86)/cakewalk/ dimension pro/programs This is the 32 bit path, but you're running a 64 bit OS, and presumably 64 bit Sonar yes? If so, move them to: program files/cakewalk/ dimension pro/programs

It does not belong in your list of VST plugs. As wookiee said above, the DSF programs should appear in the program list of your existing Dimension Pro. (DSF is an "expansion pack" for Dim Pro) If it does not, come back and get help about consolidating your dim pro sound installations.

The DSF downloads are simply patches + samples to load up in Dimension Pro - they're not VSTs themselves. So like Wookie wrote, you need to open DimPro, open its patch browser, and for good measure press F5 to referesh the list. The DSF patches should display under an appropriate category heading.

You need to launch the Dimension Pro plugin from within Sonar. Then, as stated above, click in the program load area (patch window) of Dimension Pro interface, and press press F5 - This forces Dimension Pro to rescan the program list and update the patches you can choose from. Provided you accepted the default's when you installed the DSF add-ons, everything should now be visible. You'll need to do this (once) anytime you install add-on packs for Dimension Pro or Rapture.

Others have reported that DSF did not install its samples to the right folder. Note, there are actually two major folders: programs and multisamples. Assuming you have already installed Dimension Pro: First, make sure your Dim Pro is working as expected as a synth in Sonar (presets show a lot of folders with programs; load several programs to be sure they are intact). The files for the DSF programs and multisamples should appear in folders adjacent to all your other Dim Pro programs and multisamples. If they don't, probably due to DSF installation bugs, they need to be moved along side all the other Dim Pro files. After they are all in place, F5 will cause Dim Pro to rebuild the program list. So start by finding the

One other thing you may want to check: Is the DSF named folder immediately under the multisample folder, or is nested another folder deep; i.e., under a second folder of the same name? If it's the latter, just move everything so that the DSF folder containing the data is directly under the multisamples folder. IOW, something like this: C:\Dimension Pro\Mulitsamples\DSF Name\*.prog files and samples folder instead of this: C:\Dimension Pro\Mulitsamples\DSF Name\DSF Name\*.prog files and samples folder I think DimPro only looks one folder deep for programs.

I think it's time for you to slow down, take a deep breath, and we'll between us get you up running fine. Unless anyone has any better ideas, I suggest you'll need to do a complete re-install of Sonar, Dim Pro, Rapture - all of it. If you haven't done this before it will seem a bit scary, but it's absolutely necessary. First, have a read of this: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2258337&mpage=1&print=true It's late here now & I'm crashing for the night Luckily other members are just logging on for the day now.
