About to catch up on my Windows updates. Anyone having any problems?

Hi guys. How's it goin?

So I've been avoiding updates for like 4 months or so now since there were quite a few reports of badness resulting from a specific round MS put out around then (and I noticed glitchy behavior on my laptop from that round myself). Just checking to see if anyone's had any problems in the past month or so from Win updates. The glitchiness on my lappy went away after the following two rounds so I'm assuming it's all safe now. I know the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" philosophy but I actually do want to keep this system up to date for various reasons. I'm also gonna be doing the Quick Fix as well so if anyone has anything to report on that too I'd like to hear it. Cheers and thanks.

I just did 2 days worth of updates.

On my system, when I install the Net 4.0 stuff, it slows down all my web browsers (Chrome, FF, EI9).

But that may not happen on a newer PC. I'm running an older Intel i5.

Sorry. I abandoned the thread and just went for it. I'm sure it'll be fine. I was just wary about that specific one from months ago. Complaints all over the net over that. I was gonna do the Quick Fix too but I read what it was fixing and it isn't any of the issues I've been having so I guess I have to wait for the first full patch which I hope is coming soon.

I like X2 and all but the little buggies need to go. Still not worth switching back to X1 though. Cheers.

It's a text based smiley with a very unfortunate hairlip.
