X1 and X2- SONAR'S FX Chains are GREAT!

Hey guys...

I'm just about to master my 1st X2 project this weekend, and I wanted to share a bit of the recording experience with you.  Of course there are quirks to be worked out, but all in all, X2 seems to be a great platform and it is serving me well... even on my somewhat anemic system.  The project is enormous at 90 tracks and I have managed to use ProChannel and/or FX Chains on nearly every track (it requires A LOT of track freezing and offline effect processing because of my RAM limit).

The thing is- if you haven't checked out the FX Chains in Sonar, you are missing a real treat!!!  Someone has taken a long time and a lot of thought to create some of the FX Chains I discovered while working on this project.  Many of the X2 Chains utilize Breverb and TH2.  The combination of ProChannel and FX Chains have made my creation go from something I believe to be good, to something which I think will be REALLY good!  (yes, I'm bragging...)

Anyway, I'm super impressed by the stock FX Chains, and wanted you to know about them.  In particular, check out the one in X2 called "Dirty Clean Splitter"  If you need to stereoize a track, add a phaser, add distortion, or just put some pro sound on a track, check this baby out!  It is the cat's MEOW!

If you have found an FX Chain that's "all that", let us know in this post.

Happy recording!

Cheers!

Tony
