Rogue clip movement [SOLVED]

There are some strange movements happening to my clips in X1d.  When I split them (see the first image below), then move the forward-most split clip to a different layer, the other split clip moves forward in time the exact length of the forward most clip that has just been moved (see the second image).  This just started happening.

Has anyone else experienced this, and would someone test this?

Is there a setting that I have changed or is this a bug?

Thanks in advance.

Tom

The split clip

The moved sections of the clip.  Notice that the second part of the split clip has moved to the right.

your spliting just your top layer.
open up the layers tab and bounce to clips all your layers, this way you split all.
whats happening is when you split the clip and drag it or move it..the take underneath is still there.
it would be a perfect world if all your tracks were one shots and not edited(punching in,exc.)
    hope this helps.

i may have misunderstood your post.

I found out what it was.  Under "Options/Drag and Drop Options/"  I had "Slide over old to make room"  I changed it to "Blend old and new" and it is working perfectly.

I don't know how it got changed, I have never  had this happen before.

You see the blue button on the track? Try clicking that so it is no longer blue then move the split section. I find when those buttons are lit up it cause stuff to get changed that I don't want.

Ok I actually read that wrong but still unclick that blue button however Chuck may be right. You have your snap grid set to measure and it looks like the second half snapped to the next measure. That's pretty weird but try turning of snap or selecting something other than Measure and see what happens. Cheers.
