Pausing record at the now time

In X1 how do I do settings and what is the right method for stopping record at the now time, and then resuming R from there. I know it must be pretty simple but forgot. It was driving me crazy the other night while recording a band live, and when I stopped between songs, the now time would jump back to the beginning of the current song. Another thing that was happening, it seemed that I also had to un-arm and re-arm the track, to get the meters to register again.... at the start of recording the next song.

To stop at now time I believe you have to hit zero... (num pad)... As a VS 700 user, I don't use nothing but the controller...If it isn't correct, maybe You shoul try "enter". If it si also incorrectI'll probably be booed by the forum members... ;^P

Go to the Track View Options menu and make sure "On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker" isn't checked.

"Ctrl+ space is pause." Only if On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker is checked; otherwise, that rewinds it to now marker.

    Hmmmm

Im trying to see the benefit in this with a live recording.

I use punch-in so you can start from earlier points to keep the same groove going.

How does one jump back in on pause with the same groove kicking without a noticeable difference?

    Just curious here
